Welcome to the USS Maleficus
“Fear is a basic human emotion… what scares you the most, the evil you know… or the evil that you don’t know?"
These are the stories of a legendary ship with a mythical crew. Many stories are known of this crew, yet also there is so little known. The Maleficus is a ship of science, research and development under the command of Captain Lucy Krinta.
Yet it’s real history is still unknown. After a seven year so called ‘mission of exploration’ it came back with Lieutenant Commander Mark Harris as Commanding Officer. He was the old Executive Officer of the Maleficus. The only statement of the ships new commander was of an accident on the way back to Federation space when entering into a nebula.
Star Fleet never found out the truth as the body was indeed hit by some kind of Electromagnetic Plasma. Lieutenant Commander Mark Harris and the crew of the USS Maleficus was assigned to Siren Fleet by order of Starfleet Command. What adventures will await this ship?”
With the ships return to the Alpha/Beta Quadrant, Commodore Harris has been transferred to Exodus Fleet to serve as a Task Force Chief of Staff. Now Serving in Task Force 44.
With Operation Exodus in motion, the fate of the Maleficus changed as well, with the original Maleficus (Nova Class) to heavy damage it was up to Rear Admiral Estaban to choose the faith of the crew. Maleficus A was born, a Prometheus class that will be under the lead of Commodore Mark Harris. With the need for a paranormal/temporal vessel needed in Siren Fleet, USS Maleficus was transfered at onces towards this fleet.
These missions shall be more dangers then ever before....as more paranormal and temporal breaches are made.
Our mission chosen by Star Fleet Command:
1. Provide a platform for extended scientific survey and scouting missions.
2. Planetary survey missions.
3. Provide autonomous capabilities for full defensive, cultural, scientific and exploration policy in deep space or bordering territories for the Federation.
4. Serve as a front line support vehicle during emergencies and as a platform for Federation diplomacy and policies.
5. Provide non-critical functions such as transport of personnel and cargo when necessary, extended aid, and short-range patrol.
6. Investigate unknown engineering or any other technological equipment.
7. Investigate unknown temporal breaches or paranormal readings.

Reason why it's so hard to post?

Well, our good captain asked me to see if what I told him about my speculations why things cooled down so much. Maybe they apply to you as well, if you have any comments and so. Please let him know, since he really wants this simm to survive.
Well, I think that the changing of the ship class is one of the bigger things that could have caused this halt in posting. The Nova-class is a small scout and research ship, the Prometheus is a warship. That is a MASSIVE jump between types of SL (story lines). And I think many people liked the idea of a ship that does not really go around kicking serious ass (pardon the language). Each type of class makes for a different type of play style from the writers. And changing class this early in the SIMM's age could have been what made many people 'brainfart'. And we should NOT blame our captain for this, the circumstances called for a change of fleet and he got a choice the change the class. It's okey if you ask me to change classes, but it might have been way, WAY to early.
So, Patrick asked me to for a few questions based on my speculations.
1: Was the change of class the reason why you are having a hard time posting?
2: Do you think it was a bad idea to change the class this early?
3: Would you like us to scrap this SL and maybe get our old class back (if it is possible)
4: Do you want to change the class in to something else then a warship?
5: Do you blame Patrick for it?
6: Is there something else that might have caused this lesser of activety for you, if yes then please tell us what it is and maybe how we can make it more fun.
